I searched 7 years after my discharge from the service for a martial art that I felt had what I was looking for. I took finding just the right art very seriously. I started my time here with the rest of you at Arrowhead Kenpo because I believed I had found not just the art I was looking for but the instructor as well. We have a team of extraordinary individuals/martial artists teaching us.

The instruction at the hands of Mr. Wheaton and the other instructors is incredible. I’m certain I would have a hard time attending any other studio! I am very impressed by the personal attention to each student. There are multiple instructors on hand to give help and guidance, and each instructor is very friendly. I also feel like the environment is controlled and safe. Things aren’t going to get out of hand, and there is no danger of getting clobbered by a more advanced student. My work friends are getting tired of Wednesday and Friday when I want to tell them about all the awesome things I learned the night before!

I was attracted to Arrowhead for numerous reasons: the low student-to-teacher ratio is practically like having private lessons; the price and terms are extremely reasonable; the location is easily accessible and comfortable; my fellow students are dedicated and friendly; the AMAS instructors are not only knowledgeable and skilled in the art, but they are also very personable, patient, easy to follow, and eager to share their knowledge; and Mr. Wheaton’s training philosophy, fun personality, leadership, and obvious love of and skill in the art carry throughout the studio.

I checked into a few martial arts schools and sat in on a few different classes before coming to Arrowhead Martial Arts. None of them seemed particularly interesting to me, and I felt like they just wanted another number, another contract. Arrowhead Martial Arts was so different. I feel that the instructors have my best interest in mind, not my money. I felt an immediate brotherhood here, and everyone in the class seemed to have a passion for the art, and everyone seemed to move with the same fluidity of my old friends who got me interested in martial arts to began with. Arrowhead Martial Arts is still the right place for me!

I’ve always wanted to be able to defend myself if the situation were ever to arise. Arrowhead Martial Arts is a friendly atmosphere to learn effective self-defense principles. The instructors are very knowledgeable, kind, and patient. I was finally convinced when they didn’t pull me into a back room to talk about financing and contracts like other martial arts schools in town did.

I really enjoyed my time training at Arrowhead Marital Arts studio. All of the instructors are great, genuine people who are excited about what they do as well as seeing each individual improve at their own pace. When I first started I was impressed at how welcoming everyone was. I always felt like I was getting the attention I needed to succeed. I have taken some time away from the studio to finish school and am excited to start again soon. It is really great practical instruction and fun!

I think when you study a martial art you really want to find the best fit for you. I felt the way Arrowhead Martial Arts is set up answered most of my questions upfront. The website and trial lessons really overcame any reluctance I had. I had a life long desire to get into the martial arts, and finally found the right place to learn. It is a great school were I learn from very skilled instructors who really know how to apply the art and teach it to others. I am excited to learn all I can about KENPO and drive up from Provo to learn.

My wife and I drive here all the way from Tooele. After training at Arrowhead, I feel much more confident everywhere I go with my wife and children, and that is something that you can’t put a price on.

What I like best about training here is the practical self defense techniques that offer real life application and progressive instruction that allows for adaptation. This is a combination that keeps learning interesting and keeps the skills useful.

Arrowhead Martial Arts is awesome! They provide a solid foundation in self-defense techniques while simultaneously teaching students how to effectively use their body’s to maintain balance while generating power and precision. They have provided me with a safe and exciting way to learn a Martial Art.

I always look forward to going to class. Your time is spent learning practical, useful self defense techniques. The system itself is exceptionally well thought out, with each level building upon the previous. And it’s all done in an environment which is non-threatening & friendly with a good balance of discipline. From the very first class I attended, the instructors have demonstrated a great deal of knowledge and patience. I received one-on-one training the very first night and was extremely impressed with the art itself, as well as the attention to detail given by the instructors. I do like the fact it is adults only, and that each student is also screened to make sure they are a good fit for the group.

When I came to Arrowhead Martial Arts the first time and saw that many people are starting at, or over, my age helped me realize that you dont have to be a kid to begin taking martial arts lessons. And, this isn’t a place where they tell you to just hit harder….its a place where they really break down how to do something correctly for the maximum effect. Its more personalized than any martial arts studio i’ve seen….no getting lost in the crowd! its a comfortable learning environment. Its a place where you expect more and more of yourself because of the quality of the instructors. I love this studio!

My time at Arrowhead so far is exactly what I was looking for in martial arts training. The instructors really know their material and *enjoy* teaching. There are no secrets, no mysticism, no egos that I can see….all instruction is detailed, rewarding, and enjoyable. I appreciate every aspect of the training I’ve had, and have nothing but good things to say. I wish I would have gotten involved with Arrowhead sooner! Many, many thanks to Mr. Wheaton and all the instructors and students at Arrowhead for an awesome experience!
