Just when you thought it was over and that we couldn’t have any more news this month…
I’m also excited to announce and congratulate those that have successfully passed their next colored belt level outside of those that tested at the camp.
These students include:
- Joseph (Purple)
- Cory (Purple)
- Ryan (Purple)
- Robert (Purple)
- Cheryl (Orange)
- Heather S. (Orange)
UPDATE: Make it 8 people promoted! On April 8th, Steve was promoted to Green belt and James to Yellow. Congratulations you two!
These students have been working hard, training hard, practicing at home, and making class every chance they get. They have demonstrated the mental, physical and spiritual characteristics I look for at their level and made it an easy decision to promote them.

Great Job to all!!! As I watch each of you progress, I remember the days I came up through the ranks. My memories remind me of how exciting it is and at the same time humbling.
We are truly lucky to be a part of the AKKI system and Mr. Wheaton’s studio. Mr. Wheaton sets a high standard for us all which makes your promotions just that more deserved.

Congrats on a rank well earned!! You all are moving exceptionally well. The joy for me is remembering what you all did your first night of class.. Keep up the hard work and practice every chance you get. I look forward to many more years and belt levels with each of you.
