George is a third degree black belt under Mr. Ryan Wheaton.
It all started when I was in elementary. New town, new school, new life. "Karate Lessons", why not? It has always intrigued me. I wanted to be like Bruce Lee. Everyone wanted to be like Bruce. Unfortunately I wasn't like Bruce, and the lessons ended shortly thereafter. But it sure caught my attention, and after the first taste, it has always been in the back of my mind.
It wasn't until much later that I was working with a guy and he would always talk about the martial arts, and I loved to listen. Eventually he started teaching Kenpo out of his basement, and I joined in 1996 and went through 1998.
At the end of 2002 I began looking for a new instructor so I went in to meet Mr. Wheaton. I have been a student ever since. I am very fortunate to have an instructor who loves the art, loves teaching it, and is truly involved in giving back to the art. In teaching the way he does, and passing it on to his students, for me, it will always be a part of my life.
In addition, I have attended multiple International seminars and received my black belt in September 2005, my second degree in September 2006, and my third degree in March 2008; testing in front of the International Board of Directors in Las Vegas Nevada. Mr. Paul Mills was the chief examiner.
